The Rho Chi Society is The Academic Honor Society in Pharmacy

The Society’s vision is to achieve universal recognition of its members as lifelong intellectual leaders in pharmacy. As a community of scholars, the Society will instill the desire to pursue intellectual excellence and critical inquiry to advance the profession.
The Mission of the Society is to encourage and recognize excellence in intellectual achievement and foster fellowship among its members. Further, the Society encourages high standards of conduct and character and advocates critical inquiry in all aspects of pharmacy.
The Delta Iota Chapter is located at the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy in Hilo, HI, and received its charter in 2012. The society invites the top 20% of each class to join based on students cumulative GPA after completing half of their pharmacy didactic career. The chapter offers various educational services such as: tutoring, Quiz Bowl review sessions, workshops, student-to-student resources, and works closely with the UH Hilo Pre-pharmacy program through a mentoring program, mock interviews, and monthly Rho Chi visits to the Pre-pharmacy office for informal Q&A sessions.
